LASU Foundation Programme Application Form – 2017/2018

LasuThe sales of Lagos state university foundation programme has commenced. The LASU foundation programme lets candidates gain admission into 200 Level Lagos state University. The foundation programme is also called LASU JUPEB programme. The form for the LASU foundation programme will close on June 24, 2017.

Applications are open for candidates that are qualified for the programme. Lectures for candidates who are successfully admitted will commence on September 4th, 2017 and end by July 2018.

Admission Requirements for LASU Foundation Programme

Candidates who are applying for the form must have at least five credit passes in their O’level/SSCE results. The subjects combination depends on the course the candidate is applying for. English Language is compulsory for all courses. For candidates who want to study courses in Medicine, Nursing, Agricultural Science, Science Education, Social Sciences, Engineering, and Management Sciences must have at least a credit in Mathematics.

Interested applicants who purchased the form will be invited to write an exam. Candidates who pass the exam will be subject to pay for the LASU foundation programme acceptance fee.

Arabic Studies. Five ‘O’ Level credit passes in English Language, Arabic and three other relevant subjects.
Christian Religious Studies. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, CRK and three other relevant subjects.
Theatre Arts. Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Literature-in-English and three other Arts subjects.
Music. Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics and three other Arts subjects.
English Language. Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include Literature in English, English Language and three other Arts subjects.
French. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in French and English Language plus at least one other Arts subjects.
History and International Studies. Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Geography, Government/History and two other relevant subjects.
Islamic Studies. Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language and Islamic Religious Studies or Arabic and two other relevant subjects.
Philosophy. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English and four other Arts and Social Science subjects.
Education & Chemistry.

 

Five ‘O’ level credit passes in Mathematics, Chemistry, English Language and two of Physics, Biology and Agric. Sciences.
Education & Yoruba. Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language and Yoruba.
Education and Biology. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and one other subject.
Education & Islamic Studies. Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language and Islamic Religious Studies.
Education and French. Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language and French.
Education & Physics. Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Physics, Mathematics and two other Science subjects.
Physical & Health Education. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language, Biology and equivalent.
Education & English Language. Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language and Lit.in English plus three other Arts subject.
Education & Christian Religious Studies. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in relevant subjects including English Language, CRK and one other Arts subject.

Common and Islamic. Law Five ‘O’ level credit passes in Arts or Social Science subjects to include English Language and Islamic or Arabic.
Chemistry. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Fisheries.   Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other subject. At least a pass in Physics is required.
Botany.  Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and any other subject. At least a pass in Physics is required.
Zoology. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Biology and two other Science subjects.
Mathematics. Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and any other two science subject.
Computer Science.

 

Five ‘O’ level credit passes to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics plus two other Science subjects.
Microbiology. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
Physics. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biology and any other science subject.
Biochemistry. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Biology, Mathematics, Chemistry and any one of Health Science, Statistics, Physics and Geography.
Public Administration.

 

Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Government with any other two subjects from Social Sciences, Management/Management Sciences.
Industrial Relations and Personnel Management. Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Economics/Commerce with any other two subjects from Social Sciences/Management Sciences.
Insurance. Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Economics with any other two subjects from Social Sciences/Management Sciences.
Accounting. Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Accounts/ Economics with any other two subjects from Social Sciences/Management Sciences.
Business Administration. Five ‘O’ level credit passes including English Language, Mathematics and Business Studies/ Economics with any other two subjects from Social Sciences/Management Sciences.
Geography and Planning. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Geography and any three subjects from Arts or Social Science with at least a pass in Mathematics.
Psychology. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in Government or History, English Language, Mathematics and two other subjects.
Economics. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and Economics any other two subjects from Social Sciences, Arts and Science.
Transport. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and two (2) of the following: Chemistry, Economics, Geography, Accounting and Further Mathematics.
Public Relations and Advertising. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Lit-in-English, Mathematics and any other two subjects from Social Sciences, Arts or Science.
Radio & Television Broadcasting. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Lit-in-English, Mathematics and any other two subjects from Social Sciences, Arts or Science.
Medicine and Surgery. MB.BS Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Dentistry. BDS. Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
Nursing. BNSc Five ‘O’ level credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Lagos State University accepts WAEC, GCE and NECO results. Nabteb is not accepted in LASU and most Universities in the Country.

Criterias For Admission into 200 LEVEL

At the end of the programme, students will sit for a JUPEB final examination. The course that will be awarded to students depends on their performance in the JUPEB exam. Students must also purchase JAMB direct entry form after the programme is completed.

How to Apply for LASU Foundation/JUPEB programme

Applicants are required to make a non-refundable payment of 15,000 naira on the school website. The form, payment and registration can be done at www.lasu.edu.ng/foundation. As said earlier, the closing date for buying and submission of form is Saturday, June 24 2017.

Entrance examination for the LASU Foundation programme will be held on Saturday, 8th July 2017 at the LASU Foundation Programme Location, Topo Road, Badagry. All applicants must be available to write the exams.

Late Application

Aspirants who were not able to get the form during the stipulated period may be allowed to get the form from 10th July to 29th July, 2017. Aspirants who got the late form will write their exams on August 5th, 2017. The price for the late form is 20,000 Naira only.

The Lagos State University management does not give hostels to its foundation/Jupeb programme students. Students have to get accommodation outside the school premises.
